:05. also early this morning, firefighters raced to a fire at a senior facility in oakland. this is the second fire at this location in the last 111 days. the -- 11 days. the fire chief says the facility caught fire. the facility sprinkler systems contained the fire to the cart. the laundry room forced evacuations on january 20th. >>> overnight a bomb scare disrupted train service. he spotted a suspicious box with wires sticking out of it. san francisco police then cordoned off the caltrain station at 4th and king streets as a precaution. the bomb squad inspected the item and determined that it was harmless. no one was hurt. the train was scheduled to head back out. the passengers waiting to board were bussed to another station for a new outbound train. >>> 7:06. let's go right back to sal. we have that mess in the south bay because of the big rig crash but you are watching everywhere else as well. >> that's right. we're gonna start at northbound 101 at fair oaks. the chp told janine they are just about to open the lanes here on the 101 but the backup is almost to the san j

. 4:42 on monday. hope you had a great weekend. san francisco is locking across the bay toward oakland, crystal clear right here. it is cold. we have fog out there. mike nicco is tracking that for you. and there are fog advisories. >> new this morning, the alameda family coroner identified a man killed running across a busy oakland freeway. a 44-year-old behind a wheel hit the center divider of i-880 and after the crash, he got out of the car and tried to cross the freeway on foot and he was then hit by at least two passing cars, all northbound traffic was diverted at 66 avenue for almost two hours. all lanes re-opened just before 10:00. >> emergency crews in san jose launched a water rescue to try to save a woman would drove her car into a pond between highway 85 and almaden expressway in san jose. our reporter was there. >> the officers were told the car was going crash when it crashed in the water. the woman drives was attempting to get on highway 85, the almaden plaza way but lost control trying to beat the light and she drop through the fence that separated the on-ramp and water.

in 30 minutes. >> to suspects in the murders of two teen girls in oakland are due in court. the 18-year-old faces two counts of murder and possibly the death penalty. the 19-year-old is charged as an accessory. the victims were best friends, 15-year-old and a 16-year-old. they were found shot several times in east oakland in november. witnesses say there was an argument before the deadly shooting. >> this morning, police are searching for the suspect would shot a 16-year-old girl on the peninsula right across the street from the high school on the border of san bruno on saturday night. the teen is from south san francisco. investigators say she was wounded in the stomach and leg and is expected to survive. police have not said what led to the shooting. >> sheriff deputies are looking for a hitchhiker who stabbed a driver who gave him a ride. the santa rose press democrat reports there was a driver in the car and he picked up the hitch hitchhiker on saturday night. investigators are not sure but the hitchhiker stabbed the driver twice before the driver was able to get him out of the car.
. >>> police closed interstate 880 in oakland for nearly two hours. the driver of a white sedan hit the center divider just south of the high street exit happened around 7:45 tonight. a witness also told ktvu that the driver got out of that car and tried to cross the freeway. the witness says the manmade it across one lane before he was struck by an suv. it's believed several other vehicles also hit the man who was pronounced dead there at the scene. >>> as emergency personnel and chp responded to the situation, the highway was closed in the area. northbound traffic was diverted off the highway and were allowed to return at the next entrance. the chp opened all entrances at about 9:40. >>> a woman was hit by a car, debora villalon has new information. >> reporter: chp is still notifying next of kin. but we know the driver was 69 years old and from san joaquin. the call for sheriff's divers. >> this is a rescue situation we're willing to put our lives on the line to go in and do it. >> reporter: witnesses saw it happen. a sedan instead of turning toward the freeway sped straight through the red

oakland college - has been deemed not competent to stand trial. this is the suspect - one goh --- in a previous court date. he was in front of a judge today for a mental competency hearing. goh is accused of going on a shooting rampage at oikos university in april of last year. his attorney says, a psychiatrist determined that goh suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. you are looking at video from the scene of the massacre. seven people were killed in that shooting. three others hurt. school administrators say, goh was upset about a tuition dispute. >> tonight, the sister of a woman who was set on fire in san francisco -- talks to kron-4. the gruesome crime happened yesterday in the city's bayview district. the suspect - dexter oliver, who you see here, remains on the loose tonight. he is now wanted for attempted murder and arson. police say, he has an unusual haircut -- with the design of a fish on one side -- and a lighting bolt on the other. kron4's maureen kelly spoke the victim's sister about the assault. >> kerstin was hanging off. -- her skin was hanging off. and her ski

the bay bridge. the san francisco oakland bay bridge. an oil tanker, more specifically according to ktvu fox 2 for the bay area it struck is support for the bay bridge just about 12:20 this afternoon. about 15 minutes ago california time. this brings back awful memories for the people of san francisco in the bay area in general from a collision that happened in 2007 when a 900-foot container ship struck that same bridge and more than 53-gallons of fuel oil poured into the bay, killed by local determinations more than 6800 birds and harmed a herring spawn that winter. closed the beaches to swimmers for weeks. this one, though, there are no signs of any oil leaking at all. the coast guard is responding. the tanker appears to be intact. whether there s anything more to this, we don't have any way to know yet until the inspectors get throughout. at first glance at least there does not appear to be an oil spill. the headline anneal tanker struck a support for the san francisco oakland bay bridge. any new information from the coast guard we will ring to you you reit away. the syrian president
